Bernedoodles are sturdy and healthy dogs. They have active minds and love their families. They love to be active and they enjoy exercise, and then ending the day with some cuddles on the couch.
Feeding
Since Bernese Mountain Dogs have a higher bone density and muscle mass compared to other breeds, they will require a higher protein food compared to other breeds. We recommend a high quality kibble with meat as the first ingredient but also see the benefits of feeding a raw diet.
Grooming
Like any doodle, Bernedoodles require grooming to maintain their wavy or curly coats, which are typically low to non-shedding. Professional grooming every six weeks is recommended. Regular brushing and combing at home will prevent matting. We recommend combing or brushing your puppy/dog daily.
